Woods TPD65 TPH Post Hole digger

Hi:

Ok, my second question since joining the forum. I have a chance to buy a new (old stock) Woods TPD65 three point hitch PTO post hole auger. What do folks that own this particular unit think of them? I will be using this mostly for tree planting but it will occasionally get to dig a post hole or two. Any and all information is appreciated. Thank You.

I have an Ag-Maier PHD and think it is great. I have done many post holes for fencing, and many multiple close holes for tree planting (4-5 holes in a tight circle). If you soil is rocky, it might have a tough time, but still better than by hand or a hand held powered auger. I got mine new with a 9” aggressive auger for around $750 . I don’t think you would go wrong if you can get it at a good price.
