I've been looking for a 36" bucket for my Woods BH 9000 that can be used to cut trenches. There are a bunch of confusing terms flying around with people in excavating. I asked my dealer about a trenching bucket and he said I need a Cemetery bucket. I always thought a cemetery bucket was lighter weight and would roll to a vertical angle for straight sides on the hole. I wanted teeth and heavy duty. I finally Emailed Woods and immediately got a reply with a clear description and a engineering print.
The #1020236D 36” ditching bucket for the BH90X will fit on the BH9000 when you use #1020217 bushing kit in the bucket. We also offer a #1020236 36” cemetery bucket which is the same as the ditching bucket but has teeth instead of a smooth front.
We are attaching a copy of the drawing on the bucket as we do not have a picture. The bucket does have horizontal wear strips which pack dirt in between the strips and use the dirt for bearing surface for long bucket life
The confusion is between the terms "Trenching and Ditching" I guess ditching is a scraping clean-up operation. It might be better if the cemetery was called excavation but as long as I can tell what I'm getting that's fine by me.
