woods finish mowers-paint

I purchased a used 990x woods finish mower. I have noticed on quite a few used mowers that the paint chips and rust starts. Mine also has some issues with flaking paint. the woods brand is suppose to be a top- of- the- line implement but i cant understand why the paint is so fragile. the Frontier and land pride brands seem to have more durable paint. has anyone had the same issues? It has been kept under shed entire time since new and well maintained. I can't even find a dealer that has touch up paint for the burnt orange color.

My Braber snow blower was the same way. I wound up using my sand blaster and doing a light strip on it, then cleaned it up. I then got my HVLP sprayer and repainted it. Let it dry all summer, fall, and into the winter and the paint is holding up perfect.

I ended up going to a Napa store ,taking my pto hanger and they did a computer match and made a paint balm and filled a spray can . match was perfect!
cost 29.00 but was able to paint all rusty spots looks like new now .

Most manufacturers today are using water based enamels and they don't hold up as well as oil based.

Go to Ace and see if they have "implement" in a spray can. Matches my Woods finish mower exactly

I have a woods sb60 snow blower. It's the model before the current ss60. Paint looks find for its age and really hasn't come off unless it's been hit by a rock or something.

Many attachment manufacturers have crap paint. Even the big brands. Case is really bad.
