Rotary Cutter WOODS Brushbull Rotary cutter

I recently bent my tailwheel assembly while mowing. Does anyone know if these are universal or would I need to replace it with a WOODS specific tailwheel?

I know that I have replaced the tail wheel yoke before on a 4' Woods Brush Bull that I used to own and when I did I just ordered it from Messicks and it came in quickly.

Are you sure you have to replace it? I bent mine pretty bad. I took it all apart and spend a few minutes with an eight pound sledge and it was turning again.... Otherwise, you likely have to get a "woods" brand to get the assembly right.

With the help of a press, torch, and a sledge it is working as new. It may not be pretty but it is working......

I've managed to bend mine pretty badly twice. The story I heard is that you need to have the top link really loose so the wheel stays on the ground. My land is really hilly and there is a tendency for the mower wheel to come off the ground when I go through a steep swale...it swivels around sideways or backwards, the slams down again as I move through the swale. The forward motion of the tractor transmitted onto a wheel that is oriented sideways causes the bend.
If I manage to do this again, I'm going to weld some gussets at the base of the wheel fork, just above the wheel, to try to stiffen things.
