Woods Brush Hog - oil fluid reservoir lower seal replacement

(sorry if I am not posting this in the right section of the forum...).

I have a nice old Woods Brush Hog with the oil/lubrication fluid reservoir (see red arrow in image) and she's leaking like a sieve. Does anyone have a repair DIY video or instructions?

I've read here 00 corn head oil works. Personally, I seem to have fixed my leaking seal. I refilled the box with 15W40 motor oil every time it was low, for about a year. It stopped required more oil so I suctioned out the oil and refilled it with chain saw bar oil.
It hasn't required topping-off now for 2-3 yrs.

I was using corn head oil in my John Deere 506 for many years. Finally I got tired of always adding a bit of oil and I took the gear box apart to replace the bottom seal. Good thing I did as the bottom bearing was close to falling apart.

The hardest part of the job will be to remove the flange from the gear box under the mower. I had to heat it with a large torch and then use a 4 lb sledge hammer. Once the flange is off it's a simple matter to take the gear box off and apart. You'll probably want about .008" play between the gears and maybe .001" end play on the shafts. I'm just guessing on those but you won't hurt anything at those specs.

Of course if you have a service manual that's better. Maybe Woods has something on their web site.
