Woods/Bradco Backhoe and Kubota Warranty

I've been doing some research on buying a backhoe for my 05 B7800 and I've come across some very good deals on new old stock woods and bradco 3 pt hoes. I was all set to buy one for about $3K but I came across some information online which indicated that I may be risking the warranty on my tractor by using one of these non-factory backhoes. I was going to have the backhoe installed by an authorized woods/bradco dealer w/ B7800 specific subframe mount.


Does anybody know if this is true? Would use a non dealer purchased Kubota backhoe void the warranty on my B7800? Has anybody had any problem w/ warranty service with these 3rd party backhoes installed?

You may well void the Kubota warranty, but on the new hoes Woods offers a 2 yr. warranty in place of the manufacturers warranty, stating that they will cover damages caused by the hoe not covered by the tractor manufacturer (excepting of course improper installation or operator error).

Frankly, I do not know if the Woods warranty currently offered extends back to the previous model hoes.

If your tractor is an '05 then you're probably out of warranty anyhow.

My 05 was a demo from the local dealer, I just got it a few weeks ago, it has the full 2/3yr coverage.

I'm wondering if anybody has actually ever been denied service because they didn't use a Kubota backhoe.

Personally I think it is a bunch of baloney that any company could walk away from a warranty claim unless it was somehow clearly related to the backhoe. I wouldn't hesitate to get a Woods/Bradco with a 4pt subframe.

That said - where the heck are you able to find one for $3k????
