I have a NH TC29D with a Woods 6500 subframe backhoe. The mechanism to move the boom left and right is a one piston and chain system. I have never seen this on any other backhoe. All others have a separate piston for each directions. Has anyone had experience with both systems? The chain setup seems weak. Pic is attached. Thanks.

My Kubota BH4690B has the same setup - no problems with it here.

Same here. No problems with my Kubota 4530/Woods 750.

That was the standard engineering design up until a few years ago and it worked well and still works well for those who have them. It's similar to if I own an older kept up vehicle and my neighbor has the latest and greatest model, we will both get to town but perhaps a few minutes apart.

I have the same set up on my Woods BH750. I have used it for 5 years with no problems.
