Chipper Woods 5000 chipper

I bought a woods 5000 chipper and found that its pto shaft rotation is opposite of any of my other rear pto attachments. There seems to be some sort of ratchet mechanism inside the chipper that only allows it to rotate in one direction. Has anyone else dealt with this? My tractor is a b7800. Thanks. Mike

I have a 4 year old Woods 5000 and I have not found a ratchet system on it. I have used it behind an older Kubota B6100 and my current Kubota L3130 without problems. There is no mention of a reverse rotation model in any of the literature I have seen. Did you buy it from a dealer or individual?
