33D - Does this need to be done on a hard surface to be safe? ie - if I want to take it off at a job site does it have to sit on the road (which is less desirable) or will it be "stable" enough on a dry dirt surface? Anyone have any trouble getting hooked back up? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

As long as it doesn't rain...but the biggest hassle is if the FEL isn't level relative to the tractor mounting points. Can be done (I have done it), but it can be a PITA getting it re-installed.
When I dropped mine off, the ground looked pretty level...wasn't though. As soon as the masts left the frame mounts, I knew I'd made a mistake. Did get it remounted...took a bit more then 5 minutes and some military jargon though.
Now, the FEL gets dropped off in the garage only.

I'll second the notion on the PITA if you aren't on level ground. I was in a rush last week and dumped my loader off in a spot that kind of looked flat. Anyway, when I went to remount I pushed it forward and onto some very even ground. Now a I have a scratches on the side of my hood from where the FEL frame hit it. BTW, I may have to change my signature to TCu3D /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

P.S. For the steel vs plastic debaters - they both get scratches that need to be touched up. I now have a sample of each. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
