Wood stove top fans (heat powered)

I bought one of the heat powered fans and it is more of a novelty than a useful tool. I can break more wind than those produce.

well i am on the other side of the fence here.
We have two of these on our wood stove.
Granted they arnt as powerful as some of your jet engine screaming fans blowing air all through the house.

When we first used these it was amazing that it even worked. Doesnt feel like they are doing anything....but they are and what I love the most is NO Noise! Heats the room just fine and its even heat. And I can hear the tv and everything else going on in the house.

So... how well are your electric fans working in a power outage?

Mine isn’t quite that quiet. When the fire’s going good I can hear it from the next room.

Have you noticed, it will lift off the stove when it get very hot. A little bi-metal strip pushes if up.
