Wood pellets and tax break?

I thought I would pass this along to folks since I forgot to post it back in May when I bought my wood pellets for this heating season on 5-28-2008 I was told by the folks I buy my wood pellets from the goverment is giving a 3% tax break on sales tax when you them instead of paying 6% michigan sales tax,I paid 3%.I don,t know if this a state tax break or federal one?You might want to do some research.coobie

In Idaho you don't pay sales tax at all for wood pellets used for heating.

its a state tax thing....theres no federal sales tax.

Yep, in WA you pay a full sales tax of upto 9% on these heating fuels, like propane.
