wont stay at full throttle (4410)

how do i adjust my 4410 so when i set the throttle, it stays at that rpm? when i get it to PTO speed and let my hand off the throttle, it backs off.

i've tried tightening the already tight bolt on the side of the throttle bracket but mad things worse, now when i move the lever the engine rpm doesn't move at all. i loosened it all the way and made snug, and the rpms dont drop back down to 600 or so...they hang at 1000.

Look at the picture below, you need to tighten bolt #1 and/or replace the friction washers (#2)

Well, if you want expertise, Kenny is the guy!

As far as remove the cowl, see the attachment. That tells you to remove several other components, but it looks like some of it is pretty intuitive.

BTW, since you already have a 4300 or 4310, you should spring for the service manual on CD-ROM
