If it ran for a bit before you shut it off, it's possible you got air in the fuel line. Have you bled the fuel lines?

Does the engine turn over with the starter? If not it probably has oil in the cylinders.
Was brush hoggin on a field I do 4 times a year...the grandson had been on it and had it out of 4wheel drive and my dumbas.. didn't check it...she skidded like a sled on ice I am fine a small gash on top of my head is all= tractor side glass broke out and crumpled the top of the cab exhaust side...hit a few bumps n a hole n the tall weeds that tilted her or I may have been able to ride it to the flat bottom- set her up w/a d9 dozer n I said lots of pretty words but I think oh shittttt was the first lol

If it was on its side a "while" there could be enough oil in a cylinder to "lock" the engine.
My nephew locked a Duramax with just a little extra fuel (long story)
make sure the engine is not locked, some may call it hydrolocked.
