Looking to make a purchase soon
O.K. bought a grey market MF1228 (Hinomoto E279) and changed all the fluids including fuel filter. Cranked it right up after and it ran for a minute and slowly died. She'll turn over and over, but won't fire off. I'm sure diesel is not making it to the motor and the fuel filter is full of fuel.

Any suggestions!

Thanks,
J.D.

You could try cracking the fuel line loose at the injector pump, and turn the key to the on position. When fuel comes out steady, tighten the line, and try to start the engine.

Shutting off the fuel before changing the filter was discovered after the fact! Lesson learned! One of thousands ahead of me. My oldest son was on the project this morning. Cracked the lines on the cylinders, cranked the beast until he got fuel and got her running. Now if the auto pilot would engage to mow the pasture, we'd have it made!

Thanks and G-d bless,
J.D.
