I have a BCS mower with a Yanmar engine (Model No 3TNE82A ESA) 22kw 3cyl diesel. It willnot start consistently as the fuel solenoid is erretic (will open sometimes sometimes won't open). Engine is very easy sterted when getting fuel. Replaced solenoid and started once and ran for 5 mins then cut out and will not start again. Fuel solenoid got very hot. has anyone had fuel solenoid or wiring problems on this engine.

can you manuall control the fuel solenoid with switches and jumper wire as a test?

Are you using factory fuel shut off solenoid, or a substitute?

Removed solenoid. Burnt out. Probably problem with switching from open to hold current. Have shortened plunger and refitted unit and reset throttle stop so that it will shut off fuel when fully closed. working fine but safety systems are disabled which is OK as I am the only user of machine.
