First, welcome to TBN. When was the last time the tractor moved? Is it possible that it's in gear, hence the transmission is holding it? What have you done to remedy?

I agree. I was advised by the dealer service dept., when my tractor was delivered to block the clutch petal down anytime I wasn't going to use the tractor in the next day or two.He said most times the only fix is to split the tractor.

Be sure to look for the simple fixes first like the range selector not being between ranges or in neutral. I care not to discuss how I know about this any further.

If the HST is "in gear", then the tractor won't role due to the hydro fluid, t'ain't like an automobile tranny with a torque converter.....
Most likely it is the brake cams being stuck in the on position if the gearbox (or hydro) is in neutral. The springs that are supposed to pull them off just don't seem strong enough once corrosion sets into the aluminium housing with the steel brake cam shafts.
Crawl under and give them both a tap with a hammer to release....

I'm curious about that comment.
When I first got my 4400 (sync-reverser), I asked (on TBN) about where to clamp down the clutch pedal (the ol' 790 had a tab you could use to clamp down).
Most responses were "it's a wet disk and not necessary".

So, this should apply to lundblad's 4200 (if his machine is gear).

But, of course, tha main question is, do you need to block a wet disk clutch?
