I see a few have had similar problems; my 2003 ("B" I think) started stopping abruptly and intermittently then got more often. After finding a cut in the small hose to the hydraulic tank and repairing (after running out of fluid) my TC ran ok for a while then started stopping with error code 50-30. Shut down, start up sometimes it would go sometimes not. Now won't go but maybe once in 50 tries. All other hydraulics work fine and strong, it just won't engage drive.
Does anyone know of recalls etc on this model? I have had it since 2004 without sending it in for service (and it's obviously out of warranty now). It is about 50 miles to nearest dealer here and I either have to drag it up on a rollback to send in for service at my expense or they come out and troubleshoot it/try to field repair for $$megabucks$$. The dealer says they don't even have a rollback so? If there are recalls that haven't been addressed maybe I can get them to repair it along with servicing the recalls. Right now I need it to drive to load and transport.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It has been a thoroughly tough and dependable machine otherwise.

While I'm far from an "expert" I have had my share of issues with error codes with one of my TC's not being able to be driven. For what it's worth I would NOT drag it. Call the dealer and explain the situation. Possibly you can get the dealer to walk you thru some possible options so you can get it onto a trailer. There is no way to easily disengage the drive motors. Possibly there is a quick computer "reset" which will allow you to get it transported. My error code (50-56) was resetable after disconnecting the wiring harness at the drive CPU and console CPU. Good luck and please continue to post your experiences and remedies/repairs/fixes.

The service codes for my 2008 TC lists code 50-30 as "5V Supply 2 Out of Range Low". Not sure if that helps.

I did a little more research. Trying to decipher the electrical diagram in my shop manual. It appears that code refers to a problem with the throttle sensor.

Thanks, I'll look for wiring problems in those areas. Does anyone know of specific recall issues on ToolCats? I have seen several threads talking about the drive motors etc. Hopefully I can send it in related to a recall for further repairs.

Found the problem: the Bobcat dealer says the wires running down the front lift arm tunnel to underbody were burned! makes sense, I was welding on it a couple days before it started acting up; the hydraulic hose cut down was small and not leaking fast enough to stop the machine drive. It just all happened in the same period of time so I thought it was hydraulic related. Anyway they are now going through all the recall stuff since I was never notified by me dealer that there were any!
The welding: Has anyone had a front lift arm chassis (frame) stress crack or failure? mine did it twice and busted the windshield both times. The first time it was under strill under warranty but I had it working on a project and had mobile repair weld it back up and replace the windshield ($600). The second time was out of warranty....of the 2 layers of steel the inside layer (you could see down into the frame under the lift arm) the inside layer was butt joined and not welded; so the outside layer started cracking there and fuinally separated allowing the whole assembly to push back into the windshield. Anyone else had this happen?
