I received a package of tractor parts today, and the box contained a fair amount of bubble wrap, so I decided to pop a few bubbles before throwing it out.

As it turns out, this bubble wrap has some sort of newer and more elastic design that makes it resistant to popping! I squeeze a bubble, and then it quietly returns to its original state.

I tell you, this country is going down the tubes! 🤪

I used to work with a fellow who was approaching village idiot status. If we had packaging come in with bubble wrap I would hide it under the other garbage. He would inevitably find it and you could hear him out in the other shop popping it while getting paid $40 per hour. I'm not saying that I haven't popped a few bubbles but there is a good chance he took it home and played with it.

Sounds like my Beagle... If you have any piece of paper on you, she will get it and shred it; she can't be stopped...

Not many use the bubble wrap any more. It's too heavy and too expensive to stock--Takes up too much room. Most use the "air bags". High volume shippers even have machines so the bags can made on the spot as needed. Those really make a loud pop! :D

Note to self: Air tools do not work wirthout air hoses connected.

Note to self: Water in metal saucepan goes on top of stove, NOT in microwave.

Many years ago, a co-worker tried to warm up his Wendy's cheeseburger in the microwave. It didn't occur to him that the wrapping contained foil.

The running joke afterwards for anything that was not worth keeping was, "Wrap in in foil and put it in the microwave."
