When you are out in a grove of trees

Cleaning up deadfall

And a wasp stings you

It may not be a good idea to continue working there!

Ok, I will bite.

How many times did you get stung? :laughing::laughing::laughing:

I quit counting after 5. There was several minutes between the first sting (busy cutting sater sprouts off an old stump) and the second when I started to move a halve rotten log. things didn't get interesting until I managed to pickup one end of that log. I decided I had lost interest in the log at that point and rather rapidly crawled in the truck.

Good thing these were mud daubers and not yellow jackets.

When I was a kid, my friend and I were clearing a trail in the woods when one of us ticked off a nest of Yellow Jackets. :shocked:

Twas not pretty. I got bit on my head and hand dozens of times. Not really sure how many bites but my hand swelled up really bad. :(

We rerouted the trail. :laughing::laughing::laughing:

If you apply a bit of onion juice on the sting, it will stop the pain almost immediately.

I had it happen too while standing in a freshly cut field, apparently right over their hole. Suddenly they were swarming and stinging us, so we ran for the car. But wait! Some of them had gone up my pants legs and the game wasn't over yet. Ouch.
