I just got my engine back from the machine shop. I got it bored, the crank machined, the endplay set, and the valves ground. I only have one problem, I put my crank in and put the crankcase cover back on and tured my crank. It makes a grouling clicing noise. Sould I replace the bearing or leave it be. My gut intinct says replace it, but im not sure on pricing. What should I do ?

I don't know anything about your machine, but a growling, clicking noise would tell me I've got to take it apart again, replace bad bearing, or whatever is making that noise.

The bearing on the crank is oil lubricated and right now it is dry so it will make that click and growl until you get oil in the crankcase
