Wiring for Chinese Diesel engine 7-10 HP

I picked up what I thought was a pretty good deal on a one lung Chinese diesel engine. The key was broken off in the "ignition" and when I attempted to get it out the entire switch fell apart. It has 4 wires going to it
and there is an electric start option. Would be willing to buy a pizza for someone that could guide me in getting a workable solution. Mucho thanks.

follow what the 4 wires go to. should be battery+, starter sol. bat terminal on the voltage regulator. Does it have a glow plug? or fuse panel? battery charge gauge?

Pretty basic. I don稚 see any glow plugs or a fuse panel. I will trace the 4 wires and post what I find. Thank you!

They are a Yanmar clone,I have one on my log splitter and did the same thing. I just put a push button starter switch and use that . I had to fab up a little panel to mount the push button to but that was easy, Yanmar sites have a lot of diagrams and specs on them.I don't remember the model #'s but not hard to find. They are a really good little engine. I had another one on a generator that I sold and messed up by not starting for a couple of years. The injection pump froze up and I was sure it was ruined but found the Yanmar site and it walked me through cleaning it up and it runs like a champ. The guy I sold it to sends me a text every time the power co. shuts off their power and tells me how well it runs and keeps them going. I think I sold it too cheap but glad to hear it helps him out.

If your engine is water cooled like the one referenced in SimS manual link it is different than mine. Mine is air cooled and a direct clone of the Yanmar. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused.
