I have a JVC MiniDV camcorder, model #GR-D72U (USB), and am having great difficulty transferring the video to my PC.

1. USB: A couple of my editing programs will capture via USB but only at 15fps and only at 1/4 screen window size, the setup parameters are unchangeable. Windows Movie Maker (WMM) hangs once the JVC audio driver is specified and if a different driver is selected, it won't capture the video.

2. IEEE1394: This is my first firewire device so I can't verify that the card is working properly except that the diagnostic program says that it is. All of the onscreen camera controls work in all of the programs including WMM but none are able to capture audio or video. No firewire driver was included with the camera software so WinXP is using the generic Micosoft AVC driver.

3. JVC: JVC doesn't have driver support for the majority of their products on their website including this model and they haven't responded to a single email that I've sent to customer support.

I need HELP!!

System Info: Dell Demension 8400, 3.0GHz Pentium 4, 1gig RAM, 160GB HD (90% available), USB2, IEEE1394 Firewire, WinXP SP2, Movie Maker 2
