Hello All,

I have a Kubota G1800 and well it drew the short straw this year. With the big tractor and four wheeler and other equipment stored in the shop I have decided that the G1800 will go in the pole barn instead of the shop. Now I know I live in Florida but it does get cold for short periods of time (2-3 days) and has been known to freeze and so I need to winterize the little tractor so I don稚 break it. My question is; Other than additive to the fuel (Diesel 911) what else should I do I do to it? It will be in the open aside from the pole barn and we are supposed to have an unusually cold winter (for Florida).

Thanks for any help.

Other than the additive, maybe check the battery's state every so often. My G6200 has plowed some winters, and sat others. That's the great thing about older diesels, they can sit for months and be fine.

As with everything i owe that has a battery, i remove the battery and store it in my shop with a trickle charger on it. Changing fluids is a good idea too.

Thanks for the advice, I think removing the battery is a good idea I hadn't thought of. I definitely don't want to damage it. That little tractor is about the best mower I've ever had.

Sounds like my Kubota mower. Super reliable and mows an acre of grass on about 3 cups of diesel.
