I am a new owner of a 5065e. I live in SC and in December and January we can get some cold temps sometimes 20 degrees F or so. I am storing my tractor under a covered shed so that sunlight and rain do not hit machine or implements. If I run it 1 hour every 2 weeks are there any adverse effects from the machine being exposed to the colder winter months where it is not used weekly? The owners manual describes procedures if you don't plan on using it for several months, like remove battery , add corrosion inhibitor to fuel and hydraulic oil , etc. I won't use it like spring, Summer and Fall planting season but I will get it to operating temperature every 2 weeks for the late Fall/winter months: Nov, Dec, Jan. What is the practical suggestions for my situation where the machine will not be in a garage but will be covered?

Add a top quality anti gel/diesel lube like howes, should be running that anyway.

Put a battery tender on it, if you have power close by.

Follow the manual on the rest.

I think your doing great. I have a Massey that sat outside up here since 1967.
