Came across this comparison that I found to be very informative. I have been running the Bridgestone W965 on my Excursion and other than higher road noise, have been very happy with the performance.

Thanks for the post. I always like to read tire tests that apply to my type of vehicles. I was surprised the Bridgestone beat the Goodyear by the margins it did. And from this tire test, would very seriously consider the Bridgestone. Typically I stay away from noisy tires. But a purpose built tire like this could be a winner for me if I still lived in these types of conditions, which I fortunately no longer do .

Tirerack.com is another good place for tests if the tire type one is interested in has actually been tested there.
