Its a coming for sure Frank. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
As I type the wind blowing plus the rain hitting the house w/force @50F /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
The Weather Channel calling for wild mix bag of weather until Sunday /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif..good ole New England. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ready??..ready as I'll ever be..bota been pm,all 4 m/c have started there long winter sleep, cord an half wood in the basement, everthing clean up and button down outside, just got to have 14 yards coarse sand deliver for the icy driveway & 25 bags deer pellets deliver..will thats would be my list, soooo I'll be getting second list from my better half soon. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Weather Channel saying 40mph winds steady at times, and could reach 60mph also..yikes,guess I have some limbs to pick up this weekend...arrr.

Stay safe and hang on to your hat Frank.

Yep, here too. They are calling for 12" by Friday morning. I had Friday of to go to camp for hunting season. Looks like I'll be plowing /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

How much you are you going to get? Should be a good shot of lake effect snow.

We have been getting rocked all night long. Lost power for a while. It is just starting to get light out and I can see quarter size flurries dropping heavily. They are not as of yet sticking. 50MPH winds are gonna make the drive to work in the Jeep fun! Only 6 more months to go /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

We are expecting the same stuff that Thomas is and that Rogue already has. Last night I went out and got 25 gallons of gas plus 5 gallons of diesel. Gas is for the generator, diesel for the BX2200. Have about 5 cords of wood stacked. They are predicting power outages due to the high winds. I think I am ready.

Interesting note. We are to get the 40MPH sustained winds plus gusts to 60. They are making a big deal over this in the media. Anymore the weather is considered news or entertainment. Today on the drive in the radio station was suggesting you tape up your windows. Huh?? for 60 mph gusts? Seems like overkill to me. (Said the guy with the stockpile of wood and gas /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

Had some pretty good (bad) winds last night. Toppled the windmill /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif that aerates the pond. Son of a .....
Did not go look to see the damge but I see an unexpected bill coming but another excuse to use the tractor.

We had really high wimds here last night. I leave for deer camp in the morning. It figures last weekend was the one week end I didnt bring the chainsaw home. You can bet theres several trees down in the road on the way in. Never a dull moment but at least I wont be moveing that wood by hand thanx to the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Dave

Strong winds last night and into this morning. A few lake-effect flurries accumulated in one roof valley but that was all I saw. Just made a note to myself to put driveway markers out this weekend, thanks for the reminder /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now 48F blue sky w/warm gentle wind /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif..could it be the claim before the storm /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif..but if one takes a sneak peek at the weather map..its a coming fast. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

iT WAS LIKE THAT HERE AT LUCH TIME YESTERDAY!

Winds 40 - 60 mph all night, still heavy today. Glad these winds happened after most of the leaves are off the trees. The old oaks out back probably wouldn't have taken the stress while fully leafed out.

I consider it a beautiful day since all the leaves that were out there to rake have disappeared! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Rob, Thanx for the reminder back. I need to dig mine out. Dave

/ WINTER ARRIVING TONIGHT #13
Well Chris, just wait a little while. With the 40 - 60 mph winds we're getting today, you'll be getting OUR leaves tonight or tomorrow! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

the only leaves left here ar eoff the darn will ow tree, the winds have been horrific. my yard looks like a war zone and 90% of it is from the willow, guess i will be getting the GT and the wagon out to try and clean up this mess over the weekend. have lost power here 50 or 60 times today(not a typo) power would go fff for 10 sec then come back on over and over and over. seems to have calmed down a bit. so i chanced firing up the pc /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

THOMAS : i am a coffee hound ,but i outdid myself today

Thomas

We got about 10" in the valley and about 24" in the mountains. Was really tough going for plowing. Had a lot of wind for drifting of snow but not much tree damage.

/ WINTER ARRIVING TONIGHT #18
We were expecting least 4" of snow, but only got a dusting and the high winds blow most of that way. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Last two morning been out day break doing couple hours plus walk abouts thru the woods, and even w/the cold temps the ground in place which I never seen water stand..looks like no dry wells this winter for lot of folks.
