I have a new DK45 and having a problem with the windows fogging up while blowing snow. I have all of the vents facing the windows and the heat will drive you out but it's not helping much. Has anyone else had these problems and possible solutions.
thanks

I smear washing up liquid on the inside of the glass and leave it to dry, it stops my car fogging up anyway:)

You can buy a product called Never Fog, in auto parts stores, and auto departments of big box stores.

One application will last all winter.

It also works great on mirrors, goggles, and glasses.

So does washing up liquid but then you would be cheating and depriving Never Fog of their profits:laughing:

I use the A/C and regulate the amount of heat ... seems to clear the windows very well. Keep in mind I'm not in Canada.

So does washing up liquid

As sure as Bob's your uncle, that's probably the dog's bullocks in the UK. But, since the term, "washing up liquid", is a little thin on the ground in America, I think I will ask for Never Fog at the market, so they don't think I am bladdered

The more ya sweat the worse it gets. Consider just shorts, a T-shirt and flip flops.

Yep - if it's on recirc the air will eventually saturate and begin to condense on cold surfaces - I see cars out here all the time driving by with a guy scraping the INSIDE of the windows.

All my cars a/c compressor kick in when I turn on the defroster. Sounds like you are spot on Canada or no.

Yes, if you have a/c in a car or truck, it is designed to run as a dehumidifier with the defogger/defroster system.

Because of lubrication issues, there is usually a temperature sensor that will cut the a/c compressor off, to protect it, at or below a certain ambient temperature.

So, in the winter, the a/c will usually not run with the defogger/defroster.

Auxilary fans like used in buses will help with this problem of lack of circulation.

Turn the A/C on, set the heater control to desired temp, and set cab air to recirculate (not fresh intake). The A/C cooling condensor will remvoe humidity from the cab air (warm cab air passing over a cold coil creating condensation that goes out the drip pan) then the heater will warm up the dry air and blow it on the windows.

mj007 in previous post says to do the opposite.

very odd indeed. All i need to do with my DK45 is to make sure its on the outside air setting and i get no fogging. The one time i had in recirculate it did fog up.

Warm English beer!

Have the A/C on and open a window slightly to get fresh air in the cab, it will clear the windows.
