Guys... I still recommend downloading the free tools from VmWare and taking a virtual image odlf your system prior to upgrading. That way if win 10 crashes your system you have not lost your old machine... you convert it into a virtual system and burn that out to a dvd and you always have a copy of the your system the way you had it prior to the win 10 upgrade. This gives you an option of doing a full clean win 10 install and run your old system as a virtual machine inside of win 10. The tools are free. PM me if you need some help setting something like this up.

Upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10. Time from start to finish 1 hour 4 minutes using broadband. The jury is still out on how well I like it. But, it has got to be better than 8.1. Still think their best OS was XP.

Thanks for the info, I have player, didn't know converter was free. There was nothing in win8 or 8.1 that I ever wanted to see again, but I do like win7 and made a VM of it, not sure yet if I will upgrade it.

I liked 10 enough over the past few days I upgraded my desktop from 7 to 10. Total time was just a touch over 2 hours, seems to work well there also. So 2 computers and no problems so far.

I have Windows 10 on two laptops. I like it so far it left my Desktop intact upon installation so it still looks it did with Windows 7 Pro. The problem I have with ten is the lack of control in the Edge Exlorer that replace Internet Elplorer. Edge imported my favorites, but when I open Favorites in Edge I have to scroll and look for the favorite. In Windows 7 all I had to do was depress the alpha char "T" for example to be forwarded to the "T's" in favorites and then scroll down to tractorbynet.
