Ok, the tractor was just purchased on Ebay. It was delivered fine came off flatbed ok,No problem. Drove it foward and backward several times then parked it. The next day i drove it app 500 feet checked it over noticed the rear tranfer case had a dip stick and the oil was low but not knowing what oil i did nothing. I added engine oil to engine some diesel fuel and drove it back and parked it till i could find out what kind of oil to add. The following day i started it up but it would not go into foward gear only reverse and neutral apeared to also be reverse .When I put it in the foward gear it would not budge and if i lifted my foot off the clutch it wanted to stall. The pto works
as does the front loader. what am i doing wrong any suggestions?

If it is 4wd check to see if the 4wd engagement lever has been kicked part way in or partway out of position.

I checked it will not go into foward in 2 or 4 w drive. the 2 &4 w drive are in gear. but the strange thing is it goes into reverse in reverse and in neutral, two reverses no foward.

Sounds like a problem in the shifter linkage or internal of the transmission. I think you need to call the guy you bought it from.

well I found out a few items. There is a pin on the foward.neutral ,reverse
lever shaft that can break if too much thrusting on leaver. That means
she will not go in gear.Unfortunatly, that is not my problem.Mine is more serious and turned out to be internal in the transmission.Judging on my location I could have sent the tractor on a 180 mile one way ride to Northern Conn or 35 miles away to a New Holland /John Deer dealer.I choose the latter and it turns out that the Korean transmission in a
McCormick CT36 is identical with the New HollandBoomer transmission. Both are made in Korea. I am amazed what MUTTS these tractors are.McCormick
CT tractors are the same as LS tractors with changeable parts. Anyway I put
a claim in with Ebay against the seller in Oakboro,NC and I can only wait. I quess this is international construction at its best.

well I finally got an answer to my problem. The tractor went to a dealer who split the transmission and discovered a frozen spool assembly stuck in reverse. The final out come is app 3700.00 dollars to replace the spool valves
with new ones. So far I have used the tractor 15 minutes when this happened
and now I have been trying to get support from the dealer who sold me the unit and/or Ebay.

Sorry to hear that your new tractor had such a problem. It looks like you have little choice but to have the tractor fixed. It's not worth much in its current condition. Hopefully, you got a good enough deal on it that you still have a good tractor for the price, after the extra $3700 or so in repairs.

Good luck on getting help from ebay or from the seller. Even if you could get them to go half the cost of repairs, its worth pressing them for it. Keep us posted.
