JM 354 crate, ready to run (I thought), all the electical works(lights, starter, guages) the ampmeter drops when you initialize the glowplugs. I cleaned out the fuel system, checked all the fluids. Refilled fuel system with fresh diesel, primed it, cranked, bled
any air out at the fuel filter and repeated the process many times. I know there is fuel at the filter and I can see the fuel swirling around in the sediment bowel when I pump the primer. Loosened a injector line at the injector side and then at the fuel pump side while pumping primer and while cranking the engine, no
fuel. The fuel does not seem to be making it past the pump, am I missing something? or is the injection pump bad?

I'll bet you still have air in the lines. Don't depend on the cranking action too much, you can kill a starter real quick.

Run fuel through your filter bleeder for a long time, catch it a clean container. Loosen your injector pump bleeder screew and jump many, many times. All it takes is a small buble to stop the show. Crack the fitting to each injector1/2 turn. Have someone Start cranking. Starting with back injector for ease, As the bubles fad, tighten. Still cranking move to the next. Most will start befor all are tightened.

Good luck, I know it can be frustrating. If you spend twice the time purging the filter and pumping, you'll save a starter and it will start quick.

I agree with Paddy. I'll bet you still have some air in there..crack loose the lines at the injectors them selfs and crank.

Thank you for the replies, as soon as I posted this I went back out to look at the tractor again and found the bleeder screw on the injector pump. Bled and primed a couple of times and she fired up. Sorry I did not respond sooner, I've been playn for the last couple of hours!

Thanks again,

Good deal!

So now we have helped you, fill in your profile. Your location and back ground help us...help you.

With new China tractors, flush and change your fluids! Also check every bolt/nuts you can reach. Lube all the zirks, most come nearly dry so it will take quite a bit.

I was in your boots 6 months ago and I have received alot of help without any grief from my new friends.
