Hi,

I have a Zen Noh ZB6000 which I'm told is just a B6000. It does not have the bracket on the front of the chassis rails to mount weights onto.

I have been looking for weights and a bracket for the front of this little terror, and was almost going to get the mechanic to fabricate the bracket for me. when a wrecker phoned to say he had the weight mounting bracket from a B7100 but could not remember if it would fit the B6000. Now I could just drive down there to check it out, but the wrecker is about 4 hours drive away, so I'd rather find out if anyone knows the answer to this.

I remember reading somewhere that the little Kubota tractors like B6000, B6100, and I thought it was B7000 as well had the exact same chassis, which would mean that this mounting kit would be suitable for my ZB6000.

Can anyone confirm or dispute this?

Thanks, Graham

If it is not the correct part, it couldn't take too much to make it work......

Suggest you ask the same question in the GRAY section of the orange forum.

Since Kubota is all that is discussed on the Orange forum, you have a much better chance someone will know the answer.

My question is why do you think you need front weights? The additional weight just adds to the stress on expensive front axle drive components.

Thanks for the tip on OrangeTrctorTalks. I have posted over there, but not in that forum. Perhaps that is why I don't have a solution yet.

(grin) Because when I attach a small slasher (supposedly suitable for the tractor) to the 3PL, the tractor does wheel stands. Elsewhere on here they recommended 80-100kg on the front.

Like your smile.

Does your tractor have a pto which turns, when viewed from the rear, clockwise or counter clockwise?

Can't remember which direction it goes, but it rotates in the opposite direction to every other tractor on the planet it seems. I had to get blades for the slasher that cut in the opposite direction. But that is working OK as long as I can keep the front wheels on the ground.

Good you have the pto issue covered.

On my old very heavy 2 WD Nuffield I liked when the snow blower would lift the front wheels off the ground so now I could steer it much more sharply using the left or right rear brakes.

Re weight on front axle: I find people are quick to add tire chains and weight with no idea of the additional stresses these impose + the very expensive repairs to the front axle which follow.
