or 5.7. Now the things I dont like about Dodge owned 2 in the passed

Weak tranismission.

Chevys cant really say the bad except the price$$$

This will be a daily driver and sometime pull my tractor 6400lbs.

What motors and truck are in discussion here? The 5.3 and 6.0 Chevy motors are rock solid.

5.3 is a great Motor, reliable , fuel efficient and powerful enough.
Had this motor in many trucks since it came out in the late 90’s.
Latest one is a 2017 , smoothest and most efficient one yet.
Not the most powerful beside ford and dodge but definitely enough power to get the job done

I've currently own a ram 3500 diesel I have owned numerous ram gas trucks. I've never had any issues with any of them. My previous was a ram 2500 with the 6.4 hemi. Plenty of power. Can't go wrong with a ram in my opinion.

They Gave me an f 150 with the v8 eco boost as a loner for 21 days, I’m a GM guy but I was very impressed with the ford.... nice truck!

Tractor weighs 6400lbs with or without trailer! If the tractor alone weighs that much you are close to a 3/4 ton.

Two things to look at, Fords are aluminum so rust is less of an issue.

Second is payload. Don’t look at some brochure or listen to some salesman. Look at the door jamb sticker. Payload will often control how much you can tow.

Not sure about the ford. I have a customer that has one with the eco boost. He likes it until he pulls something. He said his gas mileage goes to about 8 miles per gallon.

All the eco boost trucks are a V6 twin turbo.
