Will an MF 1643 Cab Handle all of this?

I've been so busy with work and life in general that I really haven't had a chance to use it much, other than drive it around a bit and put it up and off the trailer. I'll know more when I start digging into the back area of the workshop. I bought it mostly for snowclearing (front mount snowblower) and for landscaping the property.

I got the cab at my wife's suggestion. Snow in the winter, black flies in the summer.

I did try the shuttle transmission but went with the HST for ease of use. I expect at some point my wife will get on board so the more user friendly it is, the more she be inclined to use it. Me too for that matter.

Of those prices being thrown around, I paid a couple G notes less than that.

Not aware of any issues with the DynaQPS. Can be a little intimidating to work on it if you are not mechanically inclined but overall I hear the reliabiliy has been very good. For your appication a syncroshuttle would work just fine and a powershuttle would be the cats meow.

Just my opinion here, but for the price difference and for the chores that you have lined out and how you want to do them with ease, I would go with the 1652 hands down.

There are very few people complaining that they got too big of a tractor with waaaaay to much power. And after you get it, the few thousand $$$$ more will either be forgotten or considered some of the best money you have ever spent.

Please don't get me wrong, the smaller tractors will work for you, but it sounds to me like you want to be able to get these jobs done without any struggle. If money is not that tight for you, spend the few extra dollars and never look back.

Good luck with your decision.

I will second the 1652, it's easier not to use all the hp you have available than it is to use more hp than you have. The tractor will not work as hard and will get better fuel economy, you will not have to work as hard either. Buy as much hp as you can afford within reason, in the long run it will be money well spent. scrapironford

I will third the 1652. I had a 1433 and upgraded to a 1552 and I was using smaller implements than you are asking about.

the 1652 ps has worked very well for me. I haven't been able to challenge it's power yet!

OP - I thought you had settled on the NH Boomer 3040 a while ago in your postings in the Buying/Pricing/Comparison Forum. What happened? I thought the roomy cab and price is what finally swayed you. Did the deal fall through?

I was actually just about to make a post on that very subject. I ended up going with the NH Boomer 3040 cab which I got a great deal on. I ended up paying around $3,000 less than the 1643 that I was looking at which had the Power Shuttle Transmission and not an HST transmission. Plus the NH came with a mid PTO and a radio already installed. The performance and specs on the Boomer 3040 and the MF 1643 HST are actually very close with the MF having 3 more engine HP but about the same PTO horsepower. I feel like I got a very good deal and am very happy with my purchase. I'm waiting for the FEL to come in and get installed so it will be a little bit before I can take delivery but I am very much looking forward to delivery day. In the end I ultimately decided that since the tractor was going to be primarily used for mowing and tending to some Christmas trees and a little gardening that I just couldn't justify about $8,000 more for the 1652. The land prep work that I really need to do to get the home site ready will require rental of bigger equipment like an Excavator and probably a dozer anyhow so I wouldn't be saving more than a couple hundred dollars in rental fees for at most an extra day with the bigger equipment to get all the digging work, etc. done. I still like MF tractors very much and think that if the MF dealer was able to give me a tractor at a better price point than NH did then maybe I'd be driving a red tractor instead of a blue one. They were both so close that I went with the money and really an outstanding dealer too.

Congratulations!! We await your delivery day too, and really look forward to seeing the pics!!

Would you get some inside cab pics too please? :)

Hi guys I'm new to this forum . I'm looking at either buying a MF1643 HST with a cab or a Kioti DK45SE HST with a cab. I've been comparing the specs for each machine and I've got a question about the loader specs and if these numbers are that important in considering one machine from another.
The Kioti's loader a KL 401 has a Lift Capacity to full height at pivot is 2716 lbs and the breakout force at pivot point is 3727 lbs. The MF 1643 DL 120 Lift Capacity to full height at pivot is 1900 lbs and the breakout force at pivot point is 1841 lbs. The MF CB 20 back hoe has a higher digging force then the Kioiti's. So I'm not really sure if I should be putting a lot of weight behind these numbers or not. The MF tractor is a little cheeper but I'm not basing my decision on that, I like the MF's looks and the fact its a well know name.

Thanks for your help

Mike:)
