That wood looks to be well seasoned.
Woods been stacked there for 3 years. Usually burn between 1 and 1.5 cord a year but keep 2.5 cord stacked along the fence line just in case. And rotate which end I pull wood from each year. Past couple winters have been very mild so I didn't make a dent in the pile and haven't had to top up my stash.
Wood insert we have will run you out of the house if the temps are above 40. So anytime the temps are 40 or above, it's more effective and comfortable to use the heat pump.
