Will 0% financing continue?

Does anyone know if the 0% financing will continue after 5/31 ?

No one knows. Apparently even the dealers don't know until the morning of the change, no heads up at all. That being said, if it doesn't continue in June, I bet it will restart at 0% next quarter.

With treasuries paying 1%, how high can they push it? It is VERY likely to continue. With real unemployment at 15-17%, they have very little choice if they want to keep factories running at all and dealers moving anything.

Guess we'll see if Kubota is being affected by unemployment and treasuries rate and if dealers are selling anything at the begining of next month. Doesn't seem to be the case in Somerset, Ky. Kubota wise and other wise.
Wait and roll the dice and take your chances and the 0% is a several thousand dollars chance with some of the equipment selling prices. Waiting can/is also costing several hundred dollars more because of increased price hikes by tractor companies. Not speculation, fact. The prices have continued to rise over the past several years.
It's a gamble to wait, in my opinion, no doubt about it other than there's no chance at winning, only losing. Can't go lower than 0%, prices are not going to go down. Best that can happen is interest stays at 0% and worst that can happen is that it doesn't. Risking losing high dollars with no chance of gaining any dollars.
Not trying to talk anyone into buying a tractor but if you plan on buying one, now is the time to do it.

I agree with JohnThomas' major argument. Cannot go lower than zero. Absolutely can raise prices. Careful analysis of Kubota's "build my Kubota" feature which gives you MSRP, the prices HAVE increased over the past year.
Waiting costs money as prices continue to rise. Not huge amounts, but the tick ups do add up. What the rising dollar does to this equation against Japan's yen is unknown.

I don't know if the OP is torn between waiting for a big check to come his way in a 6 weeks or is prepared to jump in now, or merely wondering out loud.

To answer the simple question of the OP, who knows? I am betting zero continues or returns very, very quickly.

I just bought a M9540HDC Saturday. My dealer said he asked his rep and he would not say weither the 0% would continue or not, but he gave the impression that is was not going to continue next month. Thats not saying it will not be back in the future though. Nobody knows for sure except Kubota. If you are really serious about buying a tractor I say go for the 0% now. My tractor was over $55,000 with all the stuff I had put on it and 0% saved me a ton of money. I was going to buy a new tractor in the near furture anyway I just bought it a few months earlier than expected to take advantage ot the 0%. Now I can use the money I would have paid in interest to buy more attachments.

Course the stock holder always looks at the dividend that they are to receive as the deciding factor of the Companys worth to them. Don't know if Kubota is stock Company or privately owned or not. Does anyone own shares in Kubota?

I believe you don't get something for nothing.Very good marketing plan by
Kubota and other companies.Prices are plenty high enough to make up the losing on intrist mony.For Kubota to make there case for no intrist there is not incentive to buy with cash.Most people use credit.That's my take.

I would be willing to bet that if any of the major companies drop the 0% financing at this point, in this economy, they will see at least a 25% decrease in sales for the year.

Lets just use a hobby farm/homeowner compact as an example.

$20,000 loan @ 6% for 60 months = 386.66 a month

$20,000 loan @ 0% for 60 months = 333.33 a month

That's an extra $53 in the buyers pocket every month for 60 months, or a total of $3180. That's a huge amount of money for a lot of folks, especially if they are struggling to pay the bills every month.

Funny...the same questions were posted when I started visiting this forum. And there was a 0% offer in place when I purchased in March of 2006. And while there have been some brief breaks in the offer over the past 4+ years, it has generally been a dealership staple.

So it may, indeed, end on May 31. And it'll be replaced by new banners and another 0% offer on June 3.

Funny thing is that I financed 1/3 ($5,000) of my initial purchase through Kubota and DID NOT use the 0% offer. We run our own business and had just purchased a home, so my wife wanted to absolutely minimize our monthly obligation. At the time, you could only do the 0% for 3 years, I think, and there was something weird about the 'small print' that made the 0% more expensive for our situation...don't recall what it was. So we opted for a 2.9% deal over 4 or 5 years. Don't remember the particulars. We paid it off within a year.

At the local Kubota dealership on Friday they were coming around to the salespeople making sure that any paperwork was completed to protect any purchases under the 0%. I believe that they believed the 0% would not continue.

My expertise in this area is minimal so I can't venture any opinion but the dealership activity was obvious.

I really do not understand a lot of stuff in this article but it seems there is a shortage of money to be loaned. The government I read is upset with money being put into gold, land and other stuff that which means they can not borrow it and less money in the banks makes interest rates increase over time some think.

I hope they continue the 0% because if they do, I have decided on the L3700SU with cruise control. I think they will wait a month or so before they put it back on, but there is always a deal.John deere has theirs continuing I believe for a couple of more months.I hope kubota does continue because I had rather buy it than the JD's I have looked at.something about plastic hoods and fenders on a tractor...

I have been calling my dealer all day but they must be closed in observance of Memorial Day. I had finally decided on the Kubota B2620HST but now I will have to wait and see if the 0% is coming back. It made a difference in my choice of tractors as the Mahindra 2516HST was about $1300 less, so now I will wait and see! Shucks, I was too slow in deciding!
