I was going to have a pond constructed to aid in spring run off and aid the critters,but am told I need to get permission!My land my costand now after paying taxes I need govnt. approval,is someone kidding me?If so bad joke!

Digging ponds requires permits in quite a few area, I am told. And if it is already in a wetland, there may even be more permits required. I am surprised that you did not know this already.

Where are you located that would help with giving info? Owning and paying taxes doesn't mean anything.
