You could try using a device that reads the OBD data and sends it to your phone or other device. There are lots to choose from.Since many of you are familiar with mods and customising of cars I wanted to ask you if there is such a thing as a wireless oil pressure and/or temperature sender.
I want a real oil pressure gauge in my car and I'm also interested in knowing the current oil temp.
I'm not particularly experienced with modding and tuning, especially with electronics but most importantly I don't want any irreversible modifications like drilling holes into the dash (and the firewall) for some oddly looking after market gauges. Also the idea of this forums user Soraja isn't really for me since it requires to basically destroy the original fake OPG and afaik the instrument cluster can't be just borrowed from any other NC but is individual to each car.
So I thought a wireless solution sending data to the phone would be perfect. The problem is I haven't found anything like that so far. Can it be that in 2019 there is no wireless sensor/sender at all?
Whether that is preferable to a wired device is your call. When I look at a gauge, I want to know that it is displaying the correct and accurate information. There are lots of ways for an app over Bluetooth to get lost. I'd never rely on a wireless display, and if it isn't reliable...
All the best,
