I'm having electric installed on a former Amish home. The electric will split at a transformer on a pole and 200A service will go to each the house and barn which are about 150' apart. Fiber internet will run to the house. I need wifi at the barn and I'm wondering what my option are. Since there is currently no plans to dig a trench directly from the house to barn, I'm wondering if there are other options. I'm seeing devices that are outdoor WiFi extenders/repeaters which talk about up to 300meters. Does anyone have any experience with devices like these? The barn is a block wall.

I use a similar wifi antenna to get wifi in my barn. They work quite well as long as there isn't a lot of blockage between the units.

I just installed that same WiFi access point you linked. I mounted it on the barn wall, 700' from the house and used this WiFi bridge to link it to the house:

Works well and was easy to set up.

I have been using an eero mesh network. Covers at least 150 feet from one node to another. Of interest is I have signal in a concrete metal lath building we just finished renovating. Keeps everything on one network.
