Looks like the problem started when she tried to back up. That's what caused the most damage. Highway posts are a special alloy and hard to weld. They typically just break off when hit. The store (contractor) must be using cheap posts.

Hey, that's why they're called accidents. I'm pretty sure she didn't do it on purpose. 😍

OH NO!! 🤦‍♂️

We have a fire hydrant on the corner of our lot. One time I had the old truck parked out front and was close enough to the fire hydrant that I couldn't see it. Pulled forward and hit the hydrnt hard enough that the truck bumper went jumpedover the hydrant and hooked the fire hydrant. The hydrant was basically behind the bumper. Luckily I have a buddy that is a tow truck driver and he was able to come and pick up the front of the truck and unhook it.

Walmart requires their sign posts to be installed in 4" metal pipe, then filled with concrete. 3

When i first purchased my brand new 1994 dodge diesel my wife was driving it to home depot with me following in my f150 to get supplies. I parked and was walking up to her while she was backing into a parking spot. She decided to wave to me while backing up. She hit a tree and crushed rear bumper.

Truck was maybe 4 weeks old.

I think all the color drained from my face.

I didnt want to file an insurance claim so we just paid for a new bumper out of our own funds.

Jump ahead a few months, were driving from calif to our new home in idaho. Im hauling the horse trailer and wife is driving the dodge towing 2 jet skis. She does a great job. Gets all the way to the house, and decides to back the jet skis up to my shop. Crunch.

She crunches the bumper in nearly the same spot with the storage box on the trailer. Her excuse, she couldnt see the trailer in the mirrors, so she kept backing up until she could see something. You cant make this up.

Another new bumper.

A few months later, shes stopped at a light and someone bumped into her truck. They crumpled the bumper in nearly the same spot. Oh come on. At that point, i left the bumper with the damage. I figured it was meant to be. It stayed that way for 30 years.

When I sold the truck, damage was still there.

I don`t understand....
fords are always having accidents. Ford owners just don`t know how to drive?

Good gawd, don`t buy her a Ford Mustang Super Cobra!

All joking aside, glad she wasn`t hurt.

Been dere done dat! Mine was a fire hydrant. Stopped in a Kubota dealership while talking on my phone out in the lot. 15 min later I got off the phone and pulled ahead into a hydrant that I had stopped in front of, to close to see it. Got the bumper hooked to the hydrant and they had to pull it off with a fork lift. $1400. But at least I now know where that fire hydrant is at all times!
