Why split brakes??

With 4x4 engaged, it doesn't work worth a hoot (I tried :ashamed but in 2x4, you can spin the tractor around on a dime. With HST, it doesn't take any effort to do a "U" turn in the field so it's not used as much as on geared tractors.

It works some tho,... and when the traction is worse it provides more benefit.

When clearing snow my front wheels are off the ground it is the only way I can turn the tractor I use my split brakes all the time
