Grapple Why not use a pin mounted grapple?

I have need of a root grapple for my 2010 Mahindra 2816. I know that the usual mount is universal skid steer. Why can't i use the pin mount on my loader arms, it seems like a simple job to remove the 4 C clips & then remove the pins that hold the bucket on. I have no plans for other attachments on the front
A quick attach adapter and plate adapter for the bucket is about a grand.
Why change how the bucket attaches?

Not hard to get the pins out ... it is a real task to get the 4 pins all lined back up when you want them back in.

Like most things in life, you are choosing betwen time and dollars. If you want a pin-style grapple and don't mind dealing with the pins when changing, go for it. There are tricks to make the changeover easier than some would have you believe.

Blue river is right on that. Got an anbo grapple this past spring fits on the arms of the loader, just need to knock the pins out and make the switch. I have found that it is easier if you attach the arms first then the cylinders. It's kinda a person and a quarter job. :laughing: I use one of my kids to guide the top cylinders in place, but you can do it yourself Just block up the cylinder with a piece of wood makes it a little easier. I would recommend a grapple to all tractor owners, wish I had gotten it 10 years ago.

If you don't change often no need for the quick attach. Most people change frequently enough the pin on is a pain in the butt.

I use an ATI Quick-tach because you need 3 hands about 7 ft. apart to connect a pin-mounted bucket/ forks / grapple.

Nothing beats experience - try unmounting then re-mounting your bucket.
