Hi all,

I was trying to find the detailed specifications Kubota used to list on their site, for the recently-discontinued B2630. I went to "Prior Products" and they have B's goiing back to 1974, but no B2630, from the early 2000's, ending in, I believe, 2010. The page for "Prior Products" for the B's is Kubota Tractor Corporation - Prior Product - BSeries

And even then, they just list a few pieces of basic info, as you can see--horsepower, tranny type, etc....

Does anyone have a link to Kubota's old, comprehensive specs info for the B2630?

I'm also interested in the same info for the pre-2011 L series.

I did find a non-Kubota site with some info I recognized as being correct, but it doesn't list everything, like Kubota did. This site, for the B2630, is here:
TractorData.com Kubota B2630 tractor information

Does anyone have any experience with the above site, to know if its info is 100% accurate? One reason I ask this is they list the width of the B2630 as follows:
"Width: 53.7 inches [136 cm]" I don't believe they'd list it with an FEL bucket on it, and I do not remember the rear wheel track being nearly that wide. Am I "losing it?"

Thanks much, in advance.

Chris,

Thank you very much! That has a lot of what I need.

Do you have a link to the "Kubota Wholegoods Catalogue?" (I've never even heard of such a thing).

Unfortunately, I really still need the B2630's wheelbase and turning circle, which I want to compare to the L's. Maybe someone else knows where this stuff is archived, digitally, and will respond?

And does anyone have ANY idea why the "Premier B's" would be in NEITHER the current model info, nor in Kubota's "Prior Products" listings? (The the "Prior Products" listings are next to useless, listing only a few datapoints per tractor, like Model Number, Horsepower, etc...).

I wasn't interested in the L's until lately. So I need the same, detail-intensive model info, for them, as well. I'm only interested in pre-2011 models, in B's or L's.

So if anyone has a link to the very-detailed specs Kubota USED to put up for these near-current, late model tractors, I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks again, Chris, and any others who can help.

My Hoe,

Here is a link to the Kubota Canada page for the 2630 spec's. Looks like the 2630 is still available in Canada. Happened to notice it this morning while I was checking out the new 3350 brochure. Hope it helps. If not, let me know, as I do have a brochure somewhere with the 2630 in it. I could scan it in if you need it.

1savoy,

Hey--this is EXACTLY what I needed--thank you! So no need to scan your brochure, but thanks very much for the offer.

I do have a question: when you say " Looks like the 2630 is still available in Canada." is that based on the fact that they still list the B2630-F on their site, or do you have knowledge of specific units at a dealer(s)?

Either way, I'm in NYS. Can you make a recommendation of any dealers I might try, that you think are good to deal with? If not near NYS (Ontario is right across the border, if I drive 7 hours and do the bridge) I'd take recommendations of ANY dealers you've found to be good to deal with.

Feel free to PM me on the dealer info, if you like.

Do you (or anyone else?) know what the "F" in "B2630HSD-F" stands for? Freezing? (As it's an open-station machine in Canada?)

Thanks again, savoy!!!

My Hoe,

Just saw your response. If you PM me your e-mail address, I'll send you a PDF of the Wholegoods catalog for current products - doesn't have the B2630 (that I saw), but it does have just about every current tractor. Basically a list of all the tractors, implements and dealer installed options with MSRP. Somebody posted a link to it here a month or two ago, so I downloaded it and saved it to my laptop.

My Hoe,

That is funny about the "F", I like it. The 2630 being available in Canada was just assuming since they have it listed as current on the Canada website, it must be a current model. That could possibly be not true. Just a guess. As far as a recommendation for a NY dealer, I would highly recommend Alexander Equipment in Alexander, NY. I am not sure where you are located, but if near western NY, give them a call. You will probably talk with Tom Sr. or Tom Jr. If you talk to them, tell them Russ Cramer says hi. They are great guys and since I am now in Texas, I do not get to see them anymore. If you don't mind buying from a distance you can not go wrong checking with Brady Barlow at Barlow Equipment. Emailing Brady is probably the best way to communicate with them. Hope that helps.

Chris,

Thank you, very much. Even though I'm interested in the last generation's tractors, it is helpful to have a resource to compare them to, i.e., the current generation. And I don't care for the way Kubota just dropped the B2630 and B3030 into "limbo-land," i.e., they're not in "Prior Products" (which goes back to the 1974) yet they're not in the current catalogue, either.

I realize the B2630 may not be in your link, but if possible, I may print stuff from your link, to hold in my own, personal archive, because Kubota seems somewhat random in their record-keeping, as described above.

Sending PM now--thanks again!

Russ,

At first, I didn't know what you meant about the "F" being "funny." But then I reread my post (and I'll repeat my own joke, here, because I'm shameless:
"Do you (or anyone else?) know what the "F" in "B2630HSD-F" stands for? Freezing? (As it's an open-station machine in Canada?)" And I got it--thanks!

And thank you for the tip on good NYS dealer. I used to live out in Western NY--God's country. Loved it. Great people, great music, people snowmobiling to school--on the roads, in traffic. :)

But what I was actually asking about was recommendations for any Ontario/Quebec-area Kubota dealers--or, if no eastern Canada ones, then ANY Canadian dealer you like and found trustworthy. I'd like have a conversation about the "F," and learn if there's any inventory left. Also, I'm concerned about whether or not I'd have to pay an import duty (or other "hidden" charge) if I bought from a Canadian dealer.

And thank you for the links. I've been in contact a few times, with Barlows, but on a couple of different models, and each time, none in stock. But you're right, if I was going to buy "sight unseen," I'd be most confident with Barlows, given all the good press they garner here from regulars like John Thomas, etc....

But it's good to know of a NYS dealer you have confidence in. I will call them, too, as before this, there was NO NYS dealer I was impressed with--or even that I thought was likely to tell me the truth.

I will definitely tell them you said "Hi!".

Thanks again.

Peter
