Mine was a leak at the top (about 300 hours)

Replaced to cooler, no problems.
Figure I’ll take the old one to a radiator shop someday.

Pretty poor 2nd tier supplier quality control I'd say, there should not be a leak there. Think I'd purchase a new one and inquire at the dealer about some sort of replacement refund.

That looks like where KKL's cooler is leaking to me, from the top somewhere like yours was Sodamo.... Easily fixed 👍

I don't care what brand one buys, there will be manufacturing flaws, recalls and other things... That's where a dealer is important for parts and support, let them duke it out with the manufacture. Times like these one is best to call your dealer, seek info like here on tbn, and be patient... Vent your thoughts in the outhouse, other side of the barn or behind the shop.

I know for me in my narrow operating window, I just need to get/keep going. Anything not contributing to that, I have not the time.

Thanks for sharing your experience sodamo. It seems suspicious that I might have a very similar problem. Was it difficult to replace? Do you just loosen the nuts immediately below the cooler?

After I washed off the grime and used it for a couple of hours, the dirt re-accumulated pretty quickly. I think it was still soaked in oil. I made it to the store today to get a degreaser. Once I get all of the existing oil off, hopefully it will be easier to to find the source.

As I recall, 2 nuts & bolts each side. Loosen then you can remove the hoses. Needed to move the fittings from old to new. Installing new pretty much reverse except I think I didn’t tighten hoses until in place. My leak did get worse over time until I replaced the cooler. I think a radiator shop could repair.
Put about 75hrs on the replacement without issue.
And this should be a warranty replacement.

I replaced mine about 2 1/2 years ago. Had a slow seep somewhere in the core. If I remember correctly is was slightly over $100. Had a local shop make a short jumper hose so I could still move it around until the new cooler came in. Simple change out.

I think my leak might be in a similar area to sodamo's. It seems to be in the left upper corner area as oil accumulated in the edge ridges. See photo. Even though I've cleaned and degreased the whole unit a couple of times, dirt still seems to adhere very quickly throughout the unit. The AC fins right in front of it stay completely clean. It doesn't make sense to me that I leak in one corner would coat the entire unit. Is there any other reason these coolers would be naturally sticky?

The part number changed from 40266755 to 40323120. Makes me wonder if the original wasn't prone to this failure. Online it appears to be about $160.

Would this be covered by warranty? Even though I have low hours, I'm well beyond the 2-year bumper to bumper warranty. The power train warranty doesn't appear to include it:

Only way to find out is to call them. Might even be under a recall.

My dealer sent me a replacement throttle pedal for free even though My machine was a little over two years old because I was still under 200 hours.
LS seems to be pretty reasonable in these things.

I was wondering where you found the part online. Mine has the same leak. I have searched the part number online and can’t find one. Thank you
