Why is it hard to find an engine diagram for 2024 McCormick x1.55 engine?

My manual has nothing showing glow plug locations, gear case, or many things. I noticed my gear case has no oil in it but from what I read that is normal. I’ve read where these Kukje motors are Indirect

Indirect? Injection? Aren't diesels in general? They are mechanical injection. The front axle on nearly every new tractor needs to be topped off, yes

That McCormick is just a rebranded Branson 5220. You should be able to find a service manual for the 20 series somewhere in the Branson section of the forum. I believe there is a sticky thread with the manuals there.

From what I read most tractor diesels are direct injection except these newer smaller tractors . There is a canister like on front of my motor that is labeled gear case in my manual

I found it but it’s the exact same as mine but I appreciate the info. I’m going to dig a little further into the Branson as there seems to be more info for them

There is two two engine oil fill plugs on these engines, and many others. One on top of the valve cover and another one on the timing gear cover, in front of the injection pump.

This is done this way because on other applications one or the other fill plug may get blocked with brackets and what not. So there is an alternative.

Is this the gear case you're referring? If yes, then it doesn't need to be filled. It's just another point to add oil to the engine.

I believe direct injection is a lot more common in the last 15 years than it used to be. I think the indirect injection used to be more common but emissions are better with high pressure common rail injection as well as making more power.

Well, the Kukje isn't comon rail for sure

Okay, I sure appreciate that ptsg. I did not know they had extra fill points. Their manual should have pictures for us people that is not use to new tractors. I knew my dipstick showed full and there was no way to trace where that gear case went since it’s attached to motor
