Why I love my Fit-Rite Hydraulics Side Link

Brian,
I'd like to order that top link. :D

I think we decided on the

How do the flow restrictor's work, is that the same as a needle valve that I've heard about? Is it one per cylinder or one per hose? (meaning 2 per cylinder?)

A flow restrictor is a fitting that has a very small hole in it. For 2 1/2" dia cylinders I use a 45 thousandths hole. It slows the fluid down enough that you can make small adjustments much much easier. So it is sort of like a needle valve, but has a permanent setting and is not adjustable as a needle valve is. I recommend 1 per cylinder to be used at the closed end of the hydraulic, not the rod end. That way the restrictor has more fluid to restrict and works better IMO. I install the fitting right behind the QD on the hose. VERY clean and simple. ;)

If you are ready for the top link, contact me on the Fit Rite website so we can get started on it.
