Trenches filled in and 200 cotoneaster plants placed in the ground 18 inches part.
Fabric is laid out next to the trench to make slots for the plants. Then fabric is
lifted over the plants and put through the slots. Stapled down and the job is
complete. My wife is finishing the planting of 250 ornamental grasses
(51 varieties).

You will notice each lane is designed as walking paths. The ornamental grasses will reach from 6 to 12 feet giving each lane a distinct private view.

I hope you enjoyed these photos. I could not have started or attempted to complete a project of this size without my 425. It was used daily and will continue in the future to maintain the project (only half planted). It is a 5-year project to get the grasses strong and full to be used as a wall for the walking paths.
We will open this to the public for weddings, photos, and garden tours, for no charge. The criteria is they must donate to a charity.

Paul,
That is a beautiful project. The potting shed looks fantastic and the walls, too. Very nice job. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Another project built that has made my 425 indispensable.
This time I built a manlift using used steel parts, with my limited welding experience turned out pretty good.

Trimming hedge from outside (above safety bar) lift. Safety bar height is waist high making bending at the waist against bar very comfortable.

Tarp has a 1 inch board across top with a PVC 1 inch pip as handle in the middle.
When finished trimming in that area of tarp I just back the 425 up and pull the handle towards me and all the cuttings come to the ground for easy cleanup.
