Why hasn't Yanmar been more active in the USA?

:giggle: I wasnt too worried. You’re one of the ones that helped me decide to go to the other orange.

I'm glad I could help! Although to be fair, in this market it's hard to make a bad choice. Outside of an occasional lemon, the worst you can do is overpay for a machine you'll still enjoy operating.

If you Google his Kioti it's about as old a machine as Kioti gets in the U.S. market; your machine, with it's newer age and greater popularity in this market should make getting parts a lot easier, even as time passes.
Yes,
For whatever reason the early LK3054, 2554, 2552, 1914, Etc. never did have very good parts support IMO.
Even service and parts manuals have always been harder to find on those models.
Never had any of those issues with my DK

Correct the LK series is not supported very well in the US. Strange because a lot of the parts are interchangeable with some Kubota models. Lol

That is a shame. Try to encourage your friend to post his problem here. I can not imagine a hydraulic control valve keeping him from using his tractor as there is plenty of ways to replace a valve without buying through a dealer.

Not my tractor so I really don't know anything about it. I just know he's been using it for 20 years or so. He has tried several dealers, searching on the internet, and shops that specialize in rebuilding hydraulic valves. All have told him that he's got a real oddball there.

Yanmar still makes some tractors for JD.

Sometimes if you take the valve out and check
for the manufacture and any information on it
you can find parts or even a replacement.

Lots of guys example say I need a starter!
Needed info: tracator car or truck
12 volt or 6 volt
koiti, yanmar, jd etc
Without the information of what it is and what
is goes to is very hard to be of any help.

So, Yanmar has a dealership agreement with TYM in the USA now? That would be great news for people who own them or want to buy one.
No, they have an agreement for TYM to manufacture a couple of models for Yanmar. TYM already has some models with Yanmar engines. The advantage for Yanmar is to broaden their offerings and get their brand out to more operators. Word of mouth spreads. People will care less that 'Bob" has a Yanmar built by TYM and more that he has a Yanmar.

I would guess that is why TYM folded Branson completely into the TYM brand. More units on more properties with the TYM brand.

Unrelated, I have seen a few more Yanmar dealers pop up. When I first started looking, the nearest bonus was over 100 miles away. Supposedly, there is one in Longview now.

@Sid Post Don't know how far you are from Tractor Bob in Oklahoma but they have the #1 Yanmar dealer in the US in Oklahoma.

I really wanted to consider the newer Yanmar CUT, but with no dealers in the state, it was a no go. I’d have chosen it over the TYM

Thanks! I'll try to hit them up next time I go North to see my Sister.
