I read a lot about keeping the tractor clean and waxed, but I also read some playful posts encouraging y'all to get them there tractors dirty.

How about a contest on who's got the dirtiest Deere?

Mine's not too messy right now, but I snapped a picture of how she looks this very second, at this is what I got.

Anyone got a Deere that's dirtier?

Heck, that's not dirty. :) I have been cutting, racking and bailing for the last 2 weeks. After about 900 round bails you can hardly see the green paint on my 7410 or 4230 for all the field dust. If I get a chance tomorrow in the daylight I'll take a couple of pic's of my dirty tractors.

I have seen some on lots that look a lot dirtier than that. Some times I get mine real dirty. Mine is a NH, not sure if the blue shows dirt worse than green.
I do wash mine and even wax the thing to. I think it is a good policy to clean them periodically to make sure there are no problems that dirt is covering up.

In addition I do wax mine to keep down sun damage since the hood is not metal. I have a John Deere LX188 mower tractor that the sun just destroyed the hood on it. At least, that is what I attribute it to.
