Who rides motorcycles?

We really get screwed here in B.C.with government insurance. My 2005 XL1200R has 65HP and costs me around $100.00 per month for just public liability. That's about the same for my 2014 CTS-V. Both are summer only vehicles.

If we started jailing un-insured/un-licensed drivers, all our insurance rates would be lower. Roads would be safer too.

Costs have jumped up most everywhere, but it used to be for what you could insure a mid-range MC for in some States, those same $ would not even insure a moped up here.

The FZ also has the ECU flashed. Removed the speed limiter, added a few HP for the Akra exhaust and enabled quick shift. Also adjusted the throttle by wire, because the 2014s were a little "unrefined"... And added a quick turn throttle in Mode A. If I have my way, I'll never sell it.

I'm guessing..... you're not going All-Electric in your fleet, Any Time Soon.....

I originally wanted the fz09 (now mt09) but I ran the numbers by insurance. Because the fz is listed as a sport bike, the insurance was crazy. The XSR was not listed as a sport bike in insurance terms so it was only like 200 per year. Same CP3 engine, frame etc. made no sense. My XSR900 was a 2016. They’ve got a little better looking now.

My annual insurance on the FZ is like $110.

Knock wood, no accidents or tickets, 2 or 4 wheels..... I MIGHT be able to insure a Honda Navi at that price, but I wouldn't bet the farm on that happening here.....

But make up for in the Thousands I spend covering the late model cars with full coverage.

Annual Full coverage for FJR 1300 is about $400. here in Texas. And I'm over 60 years old with 50+ years of experience.

Rode a Triumph and BSA at age 9. Had to use a block of wood to get to the seat. Owned Honda's mostly. Last was a Sabre and a Gold Wing. Rode a wing for a sheriff's department for years. Fun while it lasted but lately drivers on phones make it scary . Transitioned to early sixties Corvettes. Don't ride as nice but much safer.
