4000km (2485miles) on the bike now all mines… i got about 1242mikes on the tire more than I thought but I won’t try this tire again (Pirelli MT21) the front his holding very well tho… The roads were I work are very nice, lots of bush roads and trails. Some roads are 40km/h roads “speed limit” in a truck let’s say some are 60km/h so they are lots of fun with these kinda bike… I am talking about hills, curves and straits between two curves, lots of drifts, beaks and gas … best of all mist connect at some point so I can do loops and come back from a other roads which is my favorite kinda ride.

I remember a buddy (with 2 sons racing, lower-levels) saying those WR250s were close to race-ready, out of the box....

I live pretty far so I trucked my bike in this time I (work in a mining camp) but still makes looking forward to the end of the day... its a hell of a disconnect. Out here I can do 60miles one way without seeing a smidge of asphalt.

I came up here once, the issue is fuel if I want to ride while up here, I barely get enough from the last gas station to the mine and back and I need to get here at a set time on my first day so it makes it challenging its either leaving the day before or at 4am and on a bike at night in moose country during the rut season is not a thrill I need lol

but yes 100%

I'm in the market... for a light weight dual sport... to augment my Big GS Adventure...

Top two contenders:

Honda CRF300L Rally
Kawasaki KLX300

Been watching a ton of YouTube videos on them, they are very close in performance. I do like the Honda's display better, and either bike will have to have suspension upgrades based on my size. I think the Honda is edging out just based on aftermarket support and known quality.

Unfortunately, all I can do is just sit on them, no test rides.

It's odd that they won't let you test ride one. They let me test ride my Honda a few years ago before I bought it and that wasn't in my home state. I also had test ridden one at a local dealer.

They don't usually service new bikes, leaving fuel in them on the showroom floor. Batteries and aging fuel, just sitting is not a great thing. Also, there are many many picky buyers that don't want a bike that has been already serviced and ridden. We would, on the boss's permission, service a bike if he thought the potential customer was serious. Also a factor was if the bike was a slow seller or fast mover.

Yesterday the T7 was reaching the limit of its conform zone, It was running hot in these roads, crazy how much these roads grew in within the last few years... My tire is getting scary, I got no grip.
